Reliable connections. Clear perspectives.

17.07.2026

At this year’s SMM, WISKA is presenting its versatile product portfolio covering lighting, CCTV video surveillance and electrical installation. At the same time, the company is using the trade fair to strengthen existing industry contacts and set the course for the coming years.

Reliable connections.

You can rely on WISKA not only for the exciting exchange of ideas at the stand and at the stand party on Wednesday, 2 September 2026, from 5 pm. For years, the VARITAIN® reefer container sockets have been the market-leading solution for a reliable power supply on the high seas and in port facilities. The range of lighting and CCTV cameras enhances visibility on board and contributes to safe passage across the world’s oceans. Inspired by the first WISKA product – a cast brass cable junction box – the extensive range of cable entries and junction boxes is also consistently designed for use in harsh maritime environments.

Clear perspectives.

The range of WISKA cable glands in accordance with the VG standard is being expanded. New additions to the range include cable glands compliant with VG 88846-4 in Type B with VG earthing inserts, as well as in Type C without earthing inserts. Available in nominal sizes from M12 to M80 with type A strain relief. In the German Armed Forces’ equipment and information technology sectors, there is a demand for products that comply with this standard.

In the area of technical outdoor lighting, WISKA offers an impressive range of LED lighting that is particularly well-suited to refit projects. The LED floodlights include the LED Floodlight 5010 and the LED Floodlight 5000. The LED Floodlight 5010 offers a high luminous flux, is available in 1 x 220 W or 2 x 220 W versions and features a separate ballast. The LED Floodlight 5000 is available in four variants ranging from 1 to 4 x 40 W and is ideal as a replacement for traditional halogen floodlights. The range is complemented by the LED luminaire 4010, which enables the replacement of luminaires with fluorescent tubes and comparable MPL systems in engine rooms, corridors and technical areas. The LED searchlight rounds off the range. With a light output of 2 x 18,000 lm, IP66/68 protection ratings and features such as endless rotation, stepless speed control and Morse code operation, it offers maximum versatility and is conveniently operated via a remote control unit.

The highlight of the WISKA CCTV portfolio is the CS-S camera series, featuring a 360° pan-tilt unit, 512x zoom, 4-megapixel resolution and an operating temperature range of -30 °C to +55 °C. As part of its ongoing product optimisation and in light of global requirements, WISKA focuses on CE compliance, secure updates, vulnerability management and robust evidence for networked CCTV systems in the maritime environment.

All products are developed in-house by WISKA; the entire value chain is managed by WISKA. At SMM, WISKA will be exhibiting in Hall B6, Stand 212.

WISKA publishes Sustainability Report 2024: Progress, innovations, and a clear stance for the future

10.11.2025

Kaltenkirchen, [November 5, 2025] – With this sustainability report for the year 2024, WISKA Hoppmann GmbH has published its second sustainability report. The report shows the consistent implementation of the sustainability strategy and documents measurable progress in the areas of environment, employees, and corporate governance.

“For us, sustainability is not an add-on, but an integral part of our corporate strategy,” explains Tanja Hoppmann, Managing Director of WISKA Hoppmann GmbH. “With this report, we want to show how we balance ecological, economic, and social responsibility.”

WISKAs strategy is based on three key areas of action:

Responsibility for the environment: Measures to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions and to strengthen the circular economy. Responsibility for employees: Promotion of attractive working conditions, health, safety, and further training. Corporate responsibility: Transparent corporate governance and responsible action along the supply chain.

The company is publishing a sustainability report for the first time in accordance with the Voluntary Sustainability Reporting Standard for SMEs (VSME). Participation is voluntary – but for WISKA, it is a clear commitment to responsible action and transparency.

In the reporting year, WISKA implemented numerous initiatives, including:

  • Bicycle leasing for employees to promote sustainable mobility.
  • The development of a guideline for sustainable procurement and other internal guidelines.
  • Introduction of bioplastics: The KA-BIO product range consists of renewable raw materials instead of fossil-based ones.
  • Calculation of the product carbon footprint of the first products and development of the first products with significantly lower PCF (cradle-to-gate).

Despite a 10% increase in sales, energy consumption was reduced by 9% and Scope 1 & 2 greenhouse gas emissions by 5%. These results underscore the company's commitment to climate protection and the continuous improvement of existing processes.

A particular milestone was the award of the silver medal by EcoVadis. This places WISKA among the top 8% of all companies assessed worldwide.

“With the VSME report, we want to make visible what we stand for as a company: responsible action, measurable progress, and a willingness to continuously develop,” emphasizes Elske Kelm, Sustainability Officer at WISKA.

“We are convinced that sustainability and economic success are not mutually exclusive, but rather mutually dependent,” adds Tanja Hoppmann. “With our first report in accordance with the VSME standard, we are making this claim visible.”

Strong together in north germany: WISKA becomes supplier of HSV

23.10.2025

WISKA Hoppmann GmbH is the official supplier of Hamburger SV for the current season. The family-owned company was already part of the HSV net-work in the past – now WISKA is building on positive memories and actively supporting the club in the Bundesliga once again.

"It is a pleasure for us to see HSV in the 1. Bundesliga and to be able to be part of it. For us, this col-laboration is a strong sign of our connection to the north of Germany and our roots in Hamburg,‘ says Ronald Hoppmann, Managing Director of WISKA Hoppmann GmbH, which he runs together with his sister Tanja Hoppmann in the third generation. ’Many of our employees are loyal HSV fans who are enthusiastic about football and team sports. That's why we not only want to show our presence, but also create experiences: in the stadium, with our customers and for our employees and their families."

A clear commitment to Hamburg and the region
WISKA was founded in Hamburg in 1919 and is now firmly rooted in the north, with its headquarters in Kaltenkirchen. The partnership with HSV is an expression of this regional connection and the val-ues shared by both sides: team spirit, passion and consistency. For WISKA, this commitment is more than just sponsorship: it is an emotional commitment to Ham-burg, to the north of Germany and to the people who live and work here. ‘This partnership underlines our brand value of “ together”. Football is a team sport that brings people together – and that matches with our culture,’ adds Kristina Wilkens, Head of Marketing.

Outlook
As part of the partnership, plans include a presence at home games, events at the Volksparkstadion, competitions and joint content for the HSV and WISKA channels. In addition, WISKA also wants to offer employees and customers special experiences related to HSV – from free tickets to games to visiting the stadium together. As a family-oriented company, it is important to WISKA to involve not only its employees but also their families.

23.03.2025

WISKA will be presenting its current range of electrical installation materials at Hannover Messe 2025. Immerse yourself in the beginnings of WISKA cable glands and junction boxes and learn all about the current highlights, in line with the main slogan of Hannover Messe 2025: ‘ENERGIZING A SUSTAINABLE INDUSTRY’.

WISKA presents: the future of cable glands - TriShot®!
The TriShot ® is more than a cable gland, it is the result of continued drive to push boundries and possibilities. To be a pioneer and lead the way in 3 core principles: Innovation, Sustainability and Performance.
This cable gland is designed to perform. IP68 protection with or without cable/blind plug, quick installation, large clamping range (6 - 14 mm), built in seal, i.e. no inserts required and any cable type is sealed and with an impressive 54% reduction in product carbon footprint compared to conventional cable glands, the TriShot ® has an excellent sustainability performance.

Same quality, new origin: The WISKA KA series made from BIO-plastics!
The first product range from WISKA made from plastics that are no longer of fossil origin but are manufactured from renewable raw materials, so-called bioplastics. During their growth phase, the raw materials of these plastics absorb CO² and bind it throughout their utilisation phase. When our bioplastic products are used to generate energy at the end of their life cycle, they release only as much CO² as the plants used to make the raw material previously absorbed. The target is a closed CO² cycle that conserves limited resources.

The clever little round box from WISKAThree products that enhance your installation in a wide variety of areas. The COMBI® 304 system consists of a rotary switch, a junction box and an LED light - perfect for use as garden lighting, path lighting, carport lighting or industrial design lighting. A perfect blend of functionality and design with the reliability of a system! Each product has four M20 threaded membrane entries and has a diameter of 82 mm.

Not only innovative products but also an innovative presentation
